Fall 2025 (October through December 2025)  

Social Anxiety Group for Middle School Age Children 

Beginning Date: October 7th, 2025 

Schedule: Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1:00 PM 

Where: In-Person at 7434 Louis Pasteur Drive, Suite 230, San Antonio, TX 78229 

Who Can Participate: Children ages 11 to 13 

This group is designed for middle school students (ages 11–14) who experience social anxiety but do not have significant behavioral challenges. The group provides a supportive, structured space where kids can connect, practice social skills, and build confidence in a safe environment.

Our group is semi-open, meaning new members may join when there is space available. Each child is carefully screened to ensure the group is a good fit. Groups are limited to 6 participants and will run as long as at least 3 children are in attendance. If fewer than 3 children are present, the group will be canceled. Families who cancel a session are subject to a cancellation fee, as consistency is important for the group’s success and for children to feel comfortable with one another.

Sessions include a mix of board games, structured activities, and group discussions. Through play and conversation, kids practice social skills, explore challenges they face at school, and learn strategies for managing anxiety.

To protect confidentiality, children who attend the same school or who know each other outside of group will not be placed in the same group. We do our best to ensure participants can engage openly and safely without concerns about peers from their daily lives being present.

Insurance is accepted for group therapy and we also accept private pay. See our fees page for more information.
