About Us
San Antonio Pediatric & Adolescent Neuropsychology Specialists (SAPANS), led by Dr. April Abrego, along with our sister practice Specialists in Health Psychology, form a multidisciplinary mental health team specializing in therapy and neuropsychological care for children, adolescents, and adults.
As our referral base grows, we are seeking compassionate, fully licensed clinicians to join our practice as independent contractors. This is a flexible opportunity designed for therapists who want autonomy, steady referrals, and strong administrative support. This is open to clinicians interested in providing therapy, evaluations, or both.
What We Offer
Flexible Scheduling – Set your own hours and weekly availability (part-time or full-time).
Diverse Clientele – Referrals for individuals, couples, families, groups, and evaluation patients (ages 4 through adulthood).
Administrative Support – Our staff handles:
Scheduling (within your availability)
Billing
Referrals and client assignment
Front desk support for in-office visits
Marketing & Credentialing – We provide marketing and handle credentialing with insurance panels (typically 2–6 weeks).
Work Environment Options – Choose fully furnished office space in the Medical Center, work remotely, or adopt a hybrid schedule.
Candidate Requirements
Active licensure in Texas as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LP, PsyD, or PhD (no provisional licenses)
Must carry individual professional liability insurance
Ability to provide a private, confidential workspace for remote sessions
Comfortable providing therapy and/or evaluation services across the lifespan
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to maintaining clinical documentation in line with ethical and legal standards
Compensation
1099 Independent Contractor role
Competitive percentage-based split on billing
Pay varies depending on insurance company reimbursement and billed codes
